Hourly Rate: £14.74 with an increase after 2 years service

Hours Per Week: Fridays 3.30pm – 7.30pm plus flexible hours during school holidays between 8.30am and 5.30pm

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to help care for William, a non-verbal child with complex healthcare needs, in his family home. This is a rewarding opportunity where you can make a real difference to William’s daily life and wellbeing.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Hi, my name is William. I live at home with my mum, dad and my two younger siblings. I love swimming, music, sensory play, fresh air and adventures outdoors. I have complex medical needs, including: Seizure management Respiratory care, including chest physiotherapy and suctioning Gastrostomy feeding and medication administration Dystonia management Supporting positioning and mobility I use a wheelchair, cannot sit or weight-bear unaided, and rely on consistent, familiar support.

A good day for me is when I feel safe, comfortable and can engage in activities I enjoy.

ABOUT YOU

You will be patient, reliable and compassionate, with experience in: Seizure management Respiratory care Gastrostomy feeding Supporting non-verbal children with complex care needs Additional paediatric experience, including suctioning or neurological care, is a plus. You will be trained in all my care plans and support by my multidisciplinary team. If you are ready to join my support team and make a real difference in my life, we’d love to hear from you!
