ABOUT THE ROLE
I am a 44-year-old male adult living in my home, in Rainworth. I have learning difficulties and Kanner autism, I require 2 to 1 support throughout the day and support at night. I like spending time in my own home and enjoying my garden. I also like to go on days out and spend time at my mum’s house.
The role will involve working alongside my very established team of personal assistants to understand my behaviours and know how to react accordingly. You will be required to assist with making safe decisions when carrying out daily duties, supporting me with day-to-day living, support my emotional well-being, personal care, including continence care, bathing, shaving, cooking and cleaning along with accessing the community.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will live locally to me, be flexible, patient, have a calm presence and a genuine caring nature. You must be able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity, promoting my independence and respecting my home.
You must be able to drive a car, I have my own mobility vehicle which you will be required to drive. As this is a bank position you need to be flexible to cover various hours during the daytime and sleep-ins at night. A Rota will be planned and agreed in advance.
The hourly rate of pay is £11.44 per hour and all training is paid for including the hours to complete the necessary training. An in-depth training package will be delivered to my team to support you to understand how to care for me and to meet my needs.
