SOLOMCD
Vacancy Type: Bank Job
Reference: SOLOMCD
ABOUT THE ROLE
Hello, my name is Richard I am 38 years old, and I am looking for a Bank Staff carer to join my dedicated support team. I have Down’s syndrome, special needs and autistic tendencies.
I am very lucky to already have a team of assistants that are devoted to making my life fulfilling and happy by providing me with choices, dignity, praise, reward appreciation & affection. Thanks to my lovely Team Leader and the rest of the team my house is always well kept, has a calm & orderly feeling but is also a stimulating and safe place for me to come home to after my activities.
I have a well-planned week with lots of things to do each day of the week as I like my routine. My carers look after me very well as I need assistants with everything; this includes personal care, taking me out and about, cooking, cleaning, shopping, dealing with correspondence & finances, taking me to doctor’s appointments, helping me to receive & visit my friends & keeping in touch with my family. My support team can provide one to one bespoke training and shadowing to meet all my medical and social needs.
As for myself, I like walking, watching Star trek and having coffee and muffin at Webb's the best. I am easy going and don’t have any adverse behavioural problems.
I am looking for someone flexible and reliable to cover occasional shift. Each shift starts at 5pm and finishing the next day at 5pm (including a sleep-over). Since my permanent carers participate in a stand-by rota, your shifts, as a bank staff would be pre-planned and agreed in advance as it would be covering occasional holidays.
ABOUT YOU
I am looking for someone who understands my medical problems and can also provide an emotional support. The ideal candidate will ideally live locally to me, be flexible, patient, have a good sense of humour and a genuine caring nature. You will need to be enthusiastic and inspiring to bring a sense of energy into my life. You must also be able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity, promoting my independence and respecting my home.
Experience is advantageous but not compulsory as all training will be provided. Suitable candidate will also need to hold a clean driving license and be able to drive the adapted vehicle.
HOURS REQUIRED
To be confirmed and agreed in advance.
